OneDrive

Needl.ai-OneDrive integration allows you to sync all your files into Needl.ai. Follow these steps to get started:

Link your OneDrive

Click on the All apps are synced bar on the top right corner, or go to the Apps & Website section on the left side of the app, and click on Add

Hover over the OneDrive icon, and click on Connect

A pop-up will open. Make sure you have read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before agreeing to them. Click on Get Started

You will be asked to authenticate with your Microsoft account

You will see a success message once the integration is complete. Files from the linked account will start reflecting on Needl.ai within 24 hours

2. Modify your integration

On the Connect Apps page, hover over the OneDrive icon again. Click on Options

You can choose to add a new account or delink the current integration from here
To add a new account, click on Add new account and follow the steps again. To Delink the existing account, click on Delink

How long does it take to stream data into Needl.ai?

To stream One drive data into Needl.ai, it usually takes around 45 mins to 1 hour.

Will I be able to import my previous files into Needl.ai?

Yes, all files in your linked OneDrive account will get synced into Needl.ai.

What happens if I delete files on OneDrive that have already been streamed to Needl.ai?

Needl.ai only offers a one-way data stream. This means that data streamed into Needl.ai from another app or source will stay independent of the source, i.e., deleting files on OneDrive after they have been streamed to Needl.ai will not affect your data on Needl.ai.

Does deleting files from Needl.ai also delete them from OneDrive?

No, making changes to your data on Needl.ai will not have any effect on your original data source.

Can I edit files on Needl.ai?

Needl.ai currently offers read-and-search only functionality. This means that you can stream and search data from OneDrive on Needl.ai but you will not be able to edit any data. However, you can click on the OneDrive icon and be redirected to that specific file in your OneDrive account.

Can I choose specific OneDrive files or folders to link with Needl.ai?

At the moment, we sync all files from a particular account. We are working on enabling selection from specific folders and will soon roll out this feature.

Unable to connect your OneDrive with you email account?

If you are already logged in with your Outlook email account (abc@outlook.com) in Outlook, your OneDrive integration will be with the same outlook account (abc@outlook.com) in needl.ai.

If you want to connect your One Drive with another email account (for example - abc@gmail.com) you will first have to log out of your outlook account (abc@gmail.com) from your browser.
