Needl.ai-Telegram integration allows you to sync all or specific chats into Needl.ai. Follow these steps to get started

Please disable MFA on Telegram if you have enabled it, before integrating it with Needl.ai

Link your Telegram

  • Click on the All apps are synced bar on the top right corner, or go to the Apps & Website section on the left side of the app, and click on Add

  • Hover over the Telegram icon, and click on Connect

  • A pop-up will open. Make sure you have read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before agreeing to them. Click on Get Started

  • Select your country code from the dropdown menu and enter your phone number. Click on Continue

  • Select your country code from the dropdown menu and enter your phone number. Click on Continue

  • You will receive an OTP on your phone via Telegram. Enter the OTP in the space provided. Click on Continue

  • You will see all your contacts and groups listed. Choose the ones you would like to sync to Needl.ai

2. Modify your integration

You can always change the contacts and groups you would like to be synced to Needl.ai. To modify your integration, follow the below steps.

  • Hover over Telegram in the Connect Apps section, and click on Options

  • Click on Manage Contacts. You will see a list of all your Telegram contacts classified into chats or groups

  • Select/ deselect the ones you would like to sync into Needl.ai. Click on sync. If you cannot find the contacts you are looking for, Refresh the list

  • Chats from the selected contacts will start reflecting in your Needl.ai. account within 24 hours

  • On the Connected Apps page, hover over the Telegram icon, and click on Options

  • You can click Delink to delink the current integration from here

How long does it take to stream data into Needl.ai?

To stream Telegram data into Needl.ai, it usually takes around 2 hours to 5 hours.

Will I be able to import my previous chat history into Needl.ai?

No, only messages received after linking will be available in Needl.ai.

Will I be able to continue using Telegram?

Yes, you can continue using Telegram on all other devices and platforms without any hinderance.

How do I delink my Telegram?
  • On the Connect Apps page, hover over the Telegram icon. Click on Option.
  • Click on Delink Account. Your account with be delinked immediately.

What happens if I delete messages on Telegram that have already been streamed to Needl.ai?

Needl.ai only offers a one-way data stream. This means that data streamed into Needl.ai from another app or source will stay independent of the source, i.e., deleting messages on Telegram after they have been streamed to Needl.ai will not affect your data on Needl.ai.

Does deleting messages from Needl.ai also delete them from Telegram?

No, making changes to your data on Needl.ai will not have any effect on your original data source.

What happens if I exit a chat group after linking it to Needl.ai?

Needl.ai can only stream data from sources that you have access to. If you lose access to a specific channel (for example, by exiting a chat group), Needl.ai will also stop streaming data from that source.

Can I respond to messages from Needl.ai?

You can stream and search data from Telegram on Needl.ai. However, responding to Telegram messages from Needl.ai is not possible.
