Needl.ai-WhatsApp integration allows you to sync all or specific chats into Needl.ai. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Link your Whatsapp - Autosync

  • Click on the All apps are synced bar on the top right corner, or go to the Apps & Website section on the left side of the app, and click on Add

  • Hover over the WhatsApp icon, and click on Connect

  • A pop-up will open. Make sure you have read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before agreeing to them. Click on Get Started

  • Follow the instructions on the screen to scan your Whatsapp QR code

  • You will see a success message once the integration is complete

2. Choose contacts

You can choose the contacts and groups from which you want chats to appear in your Needl.ai account. To choose contacts, follow the below steps.

  • On the Connected Apps page, hover over the Whatsapp icon again. Click on Options

  • Click on Manage. You will see a list of all your WhatsApp contacts classified into chats and groups

  • Select the ones you would like to sync into Needl.ai, and click on Sync

3. Modify your integration

You can always change the contacts and groups you would like to be synced to Needl.ai. To modify your integration, follow the below steps.

  • On the Connect Apps page, hover over the WhatsApp icon again, and click on Options

  • Click on Manage Contacts. You will see a list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups

  • Select/ deselect the ones you would like to sync into Needl.ai, and click on Sync

  • On the Connected Apps page, hover over the Whatsapp icon, and click on Options

  • You can click Delink to delink the current integration from here

How long does it take to stream data into Needl.ai?

To stream WhatsApp data into Needl.ai, it usually takes around 45 mins-2 hours.

Will I be able to import my previous chat history into Needl.ai?

No, only messages received after linking will be available on Needl.ai

Will I be able to continue using WhatsApp on Web or desktop?

Yes, you will be able to continue using WhatsApp on Web or desktop even after integrating it with Needl.ai

Why do I have to scan my QR code for WhatsApp?

By scanning your WhatsApp QR code, you are authorizing Needl.ai to access your WhatsApp Web and fetch chats from your selected groups and contacts.

What happens if I delete messages on WhatsApp that have already been streamed to Needl.ai?

Needl only offers a one-way data stream. This means that data streamed into Needl from another app or source will stay independent of the source, i.e., deleting messages on WhatsApp after they have been streamed to Needl will not affect your data on Needl.

Does deleting messages from Needl.ai also delete them from WhatsApp?

No, making changes to your data on Needl.ai will not have any effect on your original data source.

What happens if I exit a chat group after linking it to Needl.ai?

Needl.ai can only stream data from sources that you have access to. If you lose access to a specific channel (for example, by exiting a chat group), Needl.ai will also stop streaming data from that source.

Can I respond to messages from Needl.ai?

Needl.ai currently offers read-and-search only functionality. This means that you can stream and search data from WhatsApp on Needl.ai However, responding to WhatsApp messages from Needl.ai will not be possible.

I received WhatsApp messages from unknown numbers (not saved in contacts). Will they reflect in Needl.ai if I choose "Select all"?

Only messages from saved contacts will reflect in your Needl.ai account.
